CLUB INFORMATION

Within the structure of Gower Golf Course there exists a thriving members club.

This creates the identity of Gower Golf Club and gives it an unique character and style based on mutual respect and inclusivity.

There are several levels of competitive golf at Gower, with the flagship being the First
and Second team playing in the Glamorgan County Leagues. Players in these teams
are all low single figure handicappers all playing at the highest standard. First team captain is Mr Aaron O’Donnell, a 2 handicapper who came through the junior ranks
at Gower.

Likewise the Ladies first team play in the county divisions and are led by Mrs Jacqui Jones, a fairly recent convert to golf but already no stranger to competition success!

This year there will be 2 new teams participating in competitive golf with the ladies introducing a second team and a Mens “Links” team between second team and Quartz.

Within the club, there are competitions every weekend and through the week.

Socially the club is also very active with a range of social events which include;

In addition, the clubhouse runs functions, an A La Carte restaurant and a bar menu 7 days per week.  There are great chances for everyone to take advantage of the facilities offered.

Both competitive and social golfing affairs are managed by the "General Committee" which is a combination of proprietary and members representatives. Regular meetings result in shared goals and a common interest from both aspects.

The club is affiliated to the newly formed "Golf Union of Wales" who manage the Handicap system and representative golf.
