GOWER GOLF CLUB NEWS
03 June 2005
Gower Golf Club enlisted Wales rugby coach Mike Ruddock to help them celebrate their 10th birthday.
The Grand Slam-winning
coach and Dunvant Rugby Club president David Vaughan were the
main
speakers at the captain's dinner.
And it was an occasion for members to both look back
with pride and ahead with confidence. Captain Chris Harry said: "The
club has evolved over the last 10 years from the time golf was
first played on the course over nine holes."
"The course was designed by Donald Steel and
his plans created the current 18-hole layout."
Within the next few weeks new changing rooms will
be opened at the club in Three Crosses, followed soon after by a
new members' bar above.
